Celticโs reported pursuit of Ivorian winger Jocelin TaโฏBi looks like it could be back on, after weekend reports suggested the deal was off due to a medical issue.
Over the weekend, several outlets claimed Celtic had pulled out of the transfer despite it being in an advanced stage, with the implication that something was flagged during the 20โyearโoldโs medical and that the club were no longer willing to proceed.
That story now looks premature.

According to sources close in Israel, reported byย RecordSport, Celtic have sent TaโฏBi to see a specialist in London for a second medical opinion rather than cutting ties entirely. The move signals that the club still have genuine interest and want confirmation on the medical concerns before making a final decision on the transfer.
TaโฏBi is widely viewed as a player for the future rather than an immediate firstโteam starter, a youthful prospect with potential.
Interim manager Martin OโNeill,ย speaking on Tuesday, was cautious on the subject of signings, saying that nothing was imminent but that he and his staff were actively working on identifying targets.
The gaffer has said he may need to rely on Mark Fotheringham and Shaun Maloneyโs judgment when it comes to identifying talent.
